On Saturday, October 11, the Miamisburg Viking Marching Band will take the field at the legendary Ohio Stadium on the campus of The Ohio State University in Columbus as part of the 2025 Buckeye Invitational. This prestigious event is sanctioned by the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) and serves as a qualifier for the OMEA State Marching Band Finals.
Miamisburg will perform among 44 total bands, with 32 competing for caption and placement awards and 12 festival-class groups taking the opportunity to perform in this iconic venue.
Classified as AA by OMEA—based on enrollment of 901+ students in grades 10–12—this marks the Viking Band’s second OMEA event of the season. The band is coming off an impressive showing at last week’s Versailles Invitational, where they swept all awards and qualified for State Finals.
